Panchayat Act

It came into force in 1992 and in which the Gram Sabha is treated as the supreme unit of the village. But even after more than 20 years of existence of this act is not been implemented accordingly in the villages and people are not getting benefitted by this. The work of empowering six village panchayats of Jhabua block has been completed with the constructive effort of SHSS and Tarashi Strot Centre. Now the villagers of these panchayats are fully empowered and pleasuring their role in Gram Sabha.

Expansion of Panchayat Act 1996 (PESA Act) and Gram Sabha Rule of Madhya Pradesh Schedule Areas 1998 (Process of formation and programme coordination) in Tribal areas.
